The categories below describe what we may collect once the service is live. During pre-launch, we collect only what's required for our own internal testing.

Information you give us

• Account details — name, phone number, email address, and role (player, parent, or coach) when you create an account.
• Profile information — age group, playing role (batter, bowler, all-rounder), team or academy affiliation, and any preferences you choose to share.
• Communication content — messages you send us through WhatsApp, email, or in-app chat, including media you share.
• Feedback and support requests — anything you tell us when reporting an issue or making a request.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent, and similar app analytics.
• Device data — device type, operating system, app version, and a non-personal device identifier.
• Approximate location — derived from IP address, used only to localize the experience (e.g., showing relevant tournaments in your region). We do not track precise location unless you explicitly grant permission.

Information about minors

12thMan is built for the cricket community, which includes players under 18. Where a user is under 18, account creation and any data sharing must be authorized by a parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent and believe your child has shared information with us without your consent, contact us at kansrirmd@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly.

How we use your information

• To provide the core features of 12thMan — matching players, supporting coaches, and connecting parents with relevant resources.
• To send transactional messages (account verification, important updates, requested information) via WhatsApp, SMS, email, or push notification.
• To send promotional communication, but only with your prior consent and with an option to opt out at any time.
• To improve the service through usage analysis and product research.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

WhatsApp Business communications

If you choose to communicate with us via WhatsApp, please note:

• WhatsApp messages are processed under WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy in addition to ours.
• We use the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta. Your phone number, name (as visible to us), and message content are processed for the purpose of providing service.
• You can stop receiving messages from us at any time by replying STOP or by blocking our business number.
• We never share WhatsApp message content with third parties except as required to deliver the service or by law.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers — companies we use to operate the service (cloud hosting, analytics, communication infrastructure, payment processing). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the purpose we engage them for.
• Within the 12thMan community — limited profile information may be visible to other users (e.g., a coach may see a player's playing role) based on the features you use. We design these visibility defaults conservatively.
• Legal compliance — when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or our business.
• Business transitions — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before this happens.

Where your data is stored

We host data primarily in India and may use service providers based in other jurisdictions, including the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred outside India, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect it.

How long we keep information
